Carrington Scaffolding is a family owned and run business in our 25th year and second generation of trading.
Our core value is to deliver the highest quality of workmanship while employing full compliance to all current regulations and guidelines throughout the entire scaffold build, dismantle and duration on site.
We pride ourselves in professionalism and diligence from our work force which is expected and supervised at all times by ourselves.
1993
Nigel and Caron began trading as a small independent scaffolding company with 3 employees, with Nigel himself on site - while Caron organised the back-office work. Undertaking small bespoke private projects for clients Nigel had previously done work for.
1999
Caron and Nigel's eldest son, Ash, left school determined to work in the family business, joining his dad and the team and beginning his CISRS training while attending Stockport college on a day release course for Civil Engineering.
2001
Caron and Nigel's youngest son, Craig, follows in his brothers footsteps - leaving school with the same determination to join his dad and brother - working together in the family firm which had grown to 9 employees by now, and begins his CISRS training.
2003
Carrington enjoyed a steady growth of quality clients building a good reputation for quality and reliability. Nigel had made headway into his Health and Safety studies attaining NEBOSH Cert in 2003 which complimented the business in our safety critical environment.
2005
Carrington decided to invest in system-based scaffolding and after taking many months deliberating different manufactures systems, made what has proven to be a fantastic choice purchasing Layher Allround.
2007
By this time, we had become known locally as an established and quality company offering our operatives access to all available training associated with the industry, assisting them to achieve their full potential and in turn enhancing the quality of our work force – furthering our high standards of workmanship.
2011
Nigel achieved NEBOSH Technician status. Ash and Craig both become fully accredited Gold Card Advanced Scaffolders, Advanced Scaffold Inspectors, SSSTS, Construction NEBOSH level III and HGV II licence holders.
2012
Carrington are privileged to retain the professional services of Mark Clarke from Clarke Health and Safety Consultants Ltd – well respected throughout the scaffolding industry for his depth of knowledge and professionalism as our H&S Consultant.
2013
Carrington successfully pass an audit by the ANSC (Association of Northern Scaffolding Contractors) and become full members
2014
Employee numbers now at 24 full time – and 5 office and yard staff. With full order books and a good stock level of Layher Allround, Ash and Craig become directors and shareholders in the business and take on the lead roles on site, heading up projects, taking care of client meetings and maintaining all associated documentation and record keeping.
2018
Carrington are proud to announce full accreditation and membership of NASC (National Access and Scaffolding Confederation). We believe this makes us the ONLY local scaffolding company with dual membership of the two main scaffolding associations.
